Legal notice and privacy

If you sign up to our newsletter, we keep your email address and the language you were reading the site in, so that we write to you in it. Nothing else: no name, no IP address.

Your subscription rests on your consent, which you give by clicking the link in the confirmation email. Until that link is clicked you receive nothing, and the address is erased after 30 days.

You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click, from any letter. Your address is then erased within 24 hours.

Addresses are kept on our own server, with OVHcloud in France, and the letters are sent from the restaurant’s mailbox, also with OVHcloud. A backup copy is kept for 30 days, also in France: an erased address disappears from it within that time. Addresses are neither sold nor shared, and our letters do not measure whether they are opened or whether their links are clicked.

When you write to us or call us — with a question, about an event or a private hire —, we keep your message and your details for as long as it takes to answer you and arrange what you ask for, then we erase them.

Bookings and gift vouchers are handled for us by Barestho, who keep what you enter there on our behalf: your name, your details, and the details of the booking or the voucher. Their privacy policy: https://pro.barestho.com/en/confidentialite/

Barestho’s booking module loads with this site’s home page and booking page, whether you book or not. It loads its script from jsDelivr, and uses Google Analytics, which measures visits for Barestho and passes them to Google, and Sentry, which detects errors and receives your IP address. If you arrive from “Reserve with Google”, it sets the __rwg_token cookie, which tells Google the booking came through it.

This site sets no cookies of its own on its visitors: no audience measurement, no advertising. The only one of its own is the editor’s session, which only the restaurant’s team receives when they sign in. Barestho’s module sets its own, described above. The fonts are served by this site, and the map, Instagram and Facebook are plain links: nothing is loaded from them until you click.

You can ask at any time to see, correct or erase the data we hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Write to us at the address above: we answer within a month.
